You may have noticed that the recyclables have not been picked up. Please read the following from Republic Services.
“Republic Services has an important message regarding your waste collection service. Service was temporarily delayed due to an unanticipated work stoppage this past Friday, September 13th.
Republic Services is in contract negotiations with a union representing some employees in Massachusetts. Those employees are engaged in a temporary work stoppage, which was joined last week by some employees at the Anaheim location.
Republic Services apologizes for any inconvenience and assures its customers that the stoppage was not connected with any local issue.
Currently, there is no expectation of any further delays. If a cart was not serviced this past Friday, September 13th or Saturday, September 14th, Republic asks residents to place their cans out this upcoming Friday, September 20th with any extra bags of material for collection.
Please let me know immediately if you your trash has not been picked up on this upcoming Friday.
